CEO of Me- Free 8-day e-course!

A year ago I found a big burst in my business after taking a great course for Direct Sellers on CEO of Me's website.  Lots of great content, templates and individual coaching from Misty Kearns, founder and Creator of the course!

Her mini version of the course gives you an idea of what you'll get with the main course- I love the way she has it set up.  Easy to access and review things- as parties come up, go back to review the hostess coaching. Or after events go read up on follow up process and more!

1. Mindset- definitely the best place to start!
2. Marketing
3. Parties
4. Recruiting
5. Events
6. Leadership
7. Systems
8. Success

If you want ALL YEAR support, she also has her Success Club- WONDERFUL action plans for your monthly posts, blogging, thinking ahead with your marketing and webinars monthly.

Instagram- What's the Point? What are Hashtags?

I recorded this training last night for my team #fierceohana during the last part of the NCAA championship.  You might hear a little cheering break out.

But we have been exploring different social media platforms and I wanted to do some basics on Instagram and what hashtags are for.  I also encouraged them to have their own personally-branded hashtag.

Check out the training here:

One thing I couldn't do on the video was "Trending Hashtags"
Click on the Magnifying Glass/ Search button and you will see the current most popular hashtags on Instagram.  Again, make sure they are relevant to your brand and message before using.  Otherwise you'll get a lot of confused viewers instead of your ideal followers/customers.

Facebook or online party tips!

Periscope video- tips and tricks for how to do your online/FB parties!

What are your favorite tips and tricks?
1. Use Events- if you use them from your Business page, don't RSVP or your whole friends list will be spammed.
2. Invite guests BEFORE adding them to the event.  The ones who want to be there will be more engaged.
3. Post 1x per day leading up to the party and then between a 30-60 minute party in the evening on the party day.
4. If people aren't ordering, you haven't given them enough value/benefits for them to want your product!

Business hacks- How I run multiple online parties at once!

Can you believe a year ago I had about 20 parties running at the same time?  There was an amazing hostess bonus so I wanted to help as many of my friends get it as I could.  I've changed things up but still have about 15-20 parties per month, each last only a few days, so not the 10 days with overlap they use to be!

If only I had heard about CinchShare sooner- I have been able to set up party posts in advance and reuse them over and over!  CinchShare is also compatible with Pinterest and soon more social media networks!

I use it to schedule team reminders and Facebook page and VIP group posts too.  People worry about Facebook not showing things if it weren't posted directly through FB, but tests have shown it gets the same response.  Upload a photo from your computer or phone (website is mobile friendly!), import a public Facebook post and the text and photo will both appear.  Schedule the post for up to 2 months in advance!

My best tip is to not do more than a few parties per night- the bulk of your posts will fall withing a 30 minute period, so make sure to have some on Tuesday, some on Thursday (my best party night, what's yours?).  I feel like I can seem more "present" in the party and not worrying about getting the next post ready.  The comments, engagement and personal relationships are where I can focus while CinchShare makes it easy!

Not sure what to say? Go back in your history and find some past posts that have gotten more response, revive them for a fun conversation starter.

CinchShare has some great tutorials and videos to help you figure things out.

What are you most self-conscious about?

I had someone compliment me on my eyebrows today.  That is actually something I am super self-conscious about- I can either never get them to match or they look to big or fluffy.  It's just not my favorite facial feature to work with.  Luckily I have some secret tools to help but that really made me think about doing more to get out of our comfort zone and how we are always hardest on ourselves, our looks, our skills and talents.  Everyone is Unique and has something to offer.  My friend is one of those super thoughtful, sends random cards and gifts type person.  She definitely knows how to make someone's day better.

What traits do you admire in others?
What traits do you easily bring to a relationship?

Marie Kondo and the Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

Crazy busy month.  Didn't really feel like we got started until January 4, so that only left 27 days to actually get anything done.

I got pretty far on my KonMari "Tidying Up".  It is what our Book Club is reading for this month so it was nice to be ahead of the game.  I wanted to stop reading and start working but I made myself finish first.  I also found a great checklist to go by as I worked on each section.

Before pictures

The clothes section is first and was one of the easiest. I got down to minimal clothing and only ones that I really used.  I weighed the pounds and pounds of stuff I was able to get rid of, it felt like I was the one losing the weight and stress.  In the process of selling/donating things now. The rest will be trashed.

Getting dressed and ready is so much faster now.  Laundry actually gets put away because it's just the basics.  My office/workout room was the biggest disaster. I had been transitioning from events to home parties and got rid of a huge number of things, organized paper work for taxes, cleared off my desk and set up an even easier system to get things done.

(I'll have to add some After pictures once I get finished with the memorabilia and other sections taking up space in these rooms)

My husband was away for those 2 weeks, next will be the kitchen/pantry section. One project or section at a time really helps break it down. You can do one line at a time on the checklist or a section. I love how freeing it is and helped me think about STUFF in a different way.  If it doesn't bring me joy, I don't need it.

Have you read this book? Have you used her process at all?
